About my practice: I am the owner and sole member of Imani Christian Counseling Services, LLC. The word "Imani" pronounced ee MAH nee means "faith" in Swahili. The reason I chose this name for my private practice is that I believe healing begins with faith, and that prayer, faith, and trust in God are the pathways to emotional healing. Hebrews 11:1 reads "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (KJV)
About me: I am happily married and have a son, daughter, and 3 beautiful grandchildren. I enjoy attending church, spending time with my husband and family, shopping, reading, playing Dominos and Scrabble, and attending workshops and conferences to increase my knowledge in my profession. Aside from Hebrews 11:1, another one of my favorite scriptures is Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding because in order to do this you must have FAITH.
I have worked in the mental health field for the past 10 years for the following employers: Private Practice (2014-Present), Valley Community Counseling Services Manteca Clinic (2014), Aspiranet Stockton Therapeutic Behavioral Services and Safety Assistance and Family Empowerment Programs (2011-2013), T. (2011), Stars Behavioral Health/StarView in Compton, CA (2007-2011), Portals/Pacific Clinics in Los Angeles, CA (2007), and CCEO YouthBuild in Gardena, CA (2006-2007).
